Richard Crook 
Winner of the award for outstanding contribution to engaging employers, Richard Crook from Crook de Lyon Ltd. in Fakenham, specialises in development and training programmes.
Richard has been successful in setting up effective partnerships in order to kick-start learning for hard-to-reach, non-traditional learners and provide relevant programmes to meet the needs of the employer.
Through building strong partnerships with employers, Richard has established appropriate infrastructures and placed people with employers who traditionally provided little or no training for the non conventional learner.
Richard has identified a number of possible uses for his STARlight funding. He will either visit work-based learning projects in Europe in order to identify transferable systems, visit New Zealand for an overview of the Skill NZ project and to increase his expertise in partnership working or undergo a digital photography course and purchase the necessary equipment to enable Crook de Lyon Ltd. to undertake much of its own design and photography work.
